Cousins Birthday Party

We went to Houston for Nathan and Aubrey's Birthday Party Weekend! 

Zip and DiDi are the coolest grandparents because they took Nathan to the pet store on Saturday morning to pick out his own gerbil and all the cage supplies needed.

 Setting it up was an event of it's own.

 Nathan made sure his gerbil had a very good home by overseeing the putting together of the cage.

Once Aubrey and Nathan's other family members arrived, the kids started off the party by spraying silly string at each other.

 Sweet baby Emma took it all in.

 I was happy with my Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks!

Sam had the cutest games for the kids to play and they even got to win prizes and put them in their bags.

 Kellye (and Josh and Asher) was very missed but still joined in on the birthday fun via Facetime.

Grayson loved riding around the yard in their red wagon while the girls made lots of bubbles for him with the bubble guns DiDi got the grandkids.

Aubrey's pink guitar was a big hit too!

What a fun birthday/family weekend!!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was lots of fun! We went to College Station to visit Mimi & Raydad. My Grandmother & Pa were there too and loved getting to see Grayson. 

Grayson had a blast playing outside on their back patio with cars and in the sandbox Mimi made for him. My mom also got a twirling sprinkler to play with...but everything turns into a phone for Grayson. Here he is saying "Hello?" on the sprinkler. :)

His favorite activity was hands-down riding in the golf-cart! He could ride in that thing for hours if we let him.

Mimi made bath-time fun for Grayson in their big tub!

We enjoyed spending time with lots of family at my grandparents house too! Grayson experienced dying his first Easter egg yellow. He mostly just dipped it several times and explored squishing it quite a bit. 

Between Mimi and me, Grayson had 2 Easter baskets exploding with fun toys, books, and bubbles. 

He also enjoyed playing piano, reading books with Mimi, climbing the stairs, and opening and closing a variety of doors all over the house. 

We attempted some bluebonnet pictures, but Grayson was not in the mood to cooperate. Somehow, we got a couple of cute photos from the experience though. 

What a fun weekend in CS!!

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter! Ill tell more about that tomorrow, but today I'll leave you with some precious pictures of Grayson and his buddy, Beckett at an Easter Egg Hunt their doctor's office had on Thursday!

Poor Grayson

Sorry I didn't post last night. Yesterday was a big day between 2nd day no pack, BSF Bible study, taking Grayson to the doctor, and then to the pharmacy. Poor Grayson has an upper respiratory infection, chronic cough, and maybe asthma. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic, steroid to clear up the cough, and sent us home with a cute little penguin breathing treatment machine. He's supposed to do the breathing treatments twice a day, but he was really scared during his first time with it last night. It makes a loud sound and the vapor around his face freaks him out a little bit. Poor Grayson.

Terrific Tuesday

I just want to start off by telling you how proud I am of Grayson!! He went all day without his pacifier except during nap time! It was rough at times...including a time when he saw one in his car seat when I was about to put him in the car. When I put it away, he screamed and cried so hard he was gagging himself. He fell asleep from all of that energy wasted only a few minutes before I had to get him out of the car to play with his buddy Beckett.
All in all though I am so proud of my sweet boy!!

After the boys played and the mamas talked, we ate a delicious lunch at joes pasta and pizza! After Grayson's nap, he made a cute hand print and cotton ball lamb! Then we made a quick trip to Wal-Mart and Starbucks! My sweet sister in law sent me via email a $10 Starbucks gift card today!!! Highlight of my day for sure! Thanks Sam!! When I was at Wal-Mart I bought these no mess markers and coloring pages for Grayson to try out. We had to try it out on the skateboarding Mickey picture of course. I am thoroughly impressed with those things! After dinner Grayson played outside while I picked weeds. Lots and lots of weeds. I hate them!

Monday makings

Today Grayson and I had lots of fun together! We went to the Northeast Mall and found a super cute Easter outfit for Grayson. I can't WAIT for him to wear it!! He played at the mall playground for a while and on our way out, I even found an Easter dress...SUCCESS! Grayson took a 3 hour nap which afforded me way too much time on Pinterest, so I came up with two weeks worth of Easter crafts and activities for us. As soon as he woke up (with the sticker from the shoe store somehow on his head!) I let him finger paint a paper plate. He made the cutest little chick. We read some Easter/Spring books as well as his favorite Diaper David books before getting to work on making a chocolate pie. Grayson is a great stirrer! Don't judge me for the size of the slice I got for myself or for Grayson's chocolate mouth...we liked it, ok!!

Mimi and Raydad take Grayson to the Zoo!

Mimi & Raydad came into town last week and took Grayson to the Zoo. I'm told Dip n' dots were a highlight as well as a loud lion sighting. Grayson even got to feed birds that flew right up to his feeding stick! Thanks Mimi & Raydad!!
