Grayson loves...
the Bible! What a precious precious thing it is when you see the beginning of the love of God in your child. I really don't think there is anything better. Grayson's favorite book lately has become The Bible and he is often found carrying it around the house with him. He likes flipping through the pages and looking at the pictures. Sometimes Drew and I look at it with him while he flips and give a very brief description of what is on that page (brief, people- this IS a toddler we are talking about and his attention span is about the length of a millisecond at this point). What can be sweeter than seeing your sweet boy reading the Bible? Seeing him read the Bible in just a diaper. Enjoy! (I know I will.)
Yeehaw!
This weekend we continued our new tradition of going to our small town's Haslet Wild West Fest. This was our 3rd year to go and each year it seems to get bigger and bigger. We enjoyed how family friendly it was this year with everything from mechanical bull rides to train rides- they had it all! We met up with Kacie and Ross Whigham and their precious boy, Carson. See y'all next year??!!
Sweet boy wants to be like Dad all the time- even with his baseball cap.
We immediately saw the sheriff's horse as soon as we got out of our car.
She was super nice and let Grayson pet the horse.
Grayson's favorite thing during this whole excursion was marveling at the display Jeep's tires...no lie!
The boys had fun being silly together. This is the best shot we got of the two of them together...boys!
Carson was so cute riding on the Lil Buckaroos Train.
There he goes!
Grayson and Drew showed off their hula-hooping skills.
Me and Grayson enjoyed the swing.
Lots of vendors this year!
Grayson loved playing on the park playground. And, yes...I am wearing my boots!!
He loved the caterpillar bouncy seat.
I love this picture because it shows the boys swinging together but also because it shows Kacie's ADORABLE baby bump! Can't wait to meet the new little guy soon!
Cousins Birthday Party
We went to Houston for Nathan and Aubrey's Birthday Party Weekend!
Zip and DiDi are the coolest grandparents because they took Nathan to the pet store on Saturday morning to pick out his own gerbil and all the cage supplies needed.
Setting it up was an event of it's own.
Nathan made sure his gerbil had a very good home by overseeing the putting together of the cage.
Once Aubrey and Nathan's other family members arrived, the kids started off the party by spraying silly string at each other.
Sweet baby Emma took it all in.
I was happy with my Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks!
Sam had the cutest games for the kids to play and they even got to win prizes and put them in their bags.
Notice Aubrey's tongue...
And Jared's tongue...wonder where Aubrey gets that from! ;) Jared hung the pinata.
Isn't Lexi precious?! Pretty girl.
Brothers with the birthday pinata.
Kellye (and Josh and Asher) was very missed but still joined in on the birthday fun via Facetime.
Grayson loved riding around the yard in their red wagon while the girls made lots of bubbles for him with the bubble guns DiDi got the grandkids.
Aubrey's pink guitar was a big hit too!
What a fun birthday/family weekend!!

Easter Weekend
Easter weekend was lots of fun! We went to College Station to visit Mimi & Raydad. My Grandmother & Pa were there too and loved getting to see Grayson.
Grayson had a blast playing outside on their back patio with cars and in the sandbox Mimi made for him. My mom also got a twirling sprinkler to play with...but everything turns into a phone for Grayson. Here he is saying "Hello?" on the sprinkler. :)
His favorite activity was hands-down riding in the golf-cart! He could ride in that thing for hours if we let him.
Mimi made bath-time fun for Grayson in their big tub!
We enjoyed spending time with lots of family at my grandparents house too! Grayson experienced dying his first Easter egg yellow. He mostly just dipped it several times and explored squishing it quite a bit.
Between Mimi and me, Grayson had 2 Easter baskets exploding with fun toys, books, and bubbles.
He also enjoyed playing piano, reading books with Mimi, climbing the stairs, and opening and closing a variety of doors all over the house.
We attempted some bluebonnet pictures, but Grayson was not in the mood to cooperate. Somehow, we got a couple of cute photos from the experience though.
What a fun weekend in CS!!
